Primary Responsibilities
• Active Senior Resource for Commercial SME Risk Placement Brokers
• Handle files escalations
• Participate in the development and growth of individual team members
• Effectively service a book of assigned commercial clients
• Work effectively with Sales and Senior Account Managers
• Complete coverage gap analysis
• Effective cross selling and up selling
• Negotiating valued insurance programs for our commercial clients
Qualifications Required
• RIBO license, active and in good standing, is required
• Minimum three years of commercial insurance brokerage experience
• Minimum three years experience in a Team Lead position
• Knowledge of specialty products and/or segment needs would be an asset (e.g. Cyber, D&O, E&O, etc.)
• Other industry qualifications, such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc., would be considered an asset
• Post-secondary education would be considered an asset
Skills & Attributes Required
• Exceptional customer service skills with strong business acumen
• Sales-driven approach to account management, the ability to identify coverage gaps, and upsell/cross-sell
• Strong analytical skills
• Must be a team player and have a strong work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• Organized with effective time management skills
• Self-directed and able to coordinate multiple placements for large multi-line accounts
• Ability to use creativity in structuring product proposals and documentation
• Advanced computer skills with experience in MS Office, EPIC, Applied Systems.
